I guess. Might be annoying if all battles were only about wizards casting counter magic every turn. I guess they could make it very expensive and not foolproof (we still have the mana limit in combat?). I remember Jafar being very annoying in MoM. He always started battles with counter magic.
For me, that was part of the fun challenge.

As I've stated previously, Counter Magic is the antithesis of fun for me. It's looking like Counter Magic will make it into the game, but once modding is possible I'll be replacing Counter Magic with something less annoying, but equally powerful.
