Thread: Orc Longboat Rams

    Orc Longboat Rams

I had a bit of a brain slip during the discussion on the Orcish Longboat Ram. Fortunately Happerry caught it. In my original prerequisites layout the Ram was going to require a Shipwrights' Guild. Now, this would push the tier of the ram up and allow us to make it a fairly tough siege weapon. However, it also means that the Orcs will only be able to build a siege engine in coastal cites. My fix is simply to lower the prerequisites of the Ram to the Armorers' Guild and Sawmill. I think the fix is clean and simple.

    Thoughts?

i think it fits with the idea of the unit as well (given that smaller longboats could be built anywhere).

Take it apart and reassemble it differently.

The same way ships have always rammed each other? By having a stout center beam and a big heavy thing on the front.

It's not like rams are a new naval weapon..

So I take it you won't have any problems with it not looking like a boat exactly?

But that's for ramming other ships, not reinforced doors, walls or other units. This unit is meant to be a land one
