    Biomancy/Water

    Comments, feedback, and suggestions welcome.


    Tier 1: Oozify (T, Unit Enchantment, target becomes Ooze-type), Cold Weakness* (T, Unit Enchantment, cold vulnerability)
    Tier 2: Planar Shift (S, Instant, moves unit to another plane), Quicksilver (S, Unit Enchantment, +movement)
    Tier 3: Wetlands (S, Terraforming, desert/tundra->plains->swamps)
    Tier 4: Quagmire (S, Terraforming, creates several swamps from one)
    Tier 5: Purging Waves (S, Instant, removes corruption and any spell from the tile)
    Tier 6: Ocean Blessing (S, Global Enchantment, increases food, gold, production from ocean squares)
    Tier 7: Divine Fertility (S, Global Enchantment, global population growth boost)
    Tier 8: Flood (S, Terraforming, sinks an unoccupied tile)

    *needs rename

    ooze = immunity to critical hits, sneak attacks, poison, bleeding

    Flood sinking "a" tile is weak - unless you can sink enemy units.
    Non-flying, non-swimming units could take a flat X damage, fort save for 1/2, "swim" to adjacent unoccupied tile and lose their MP next turn.

    Otherwise Flood needs to go away.

    Suggestions for Ooze- Liquid Form, Aqueous, Liquify.


    Tier 2a: Planar Shift (S, Instant, moves unit to another plane)

    Is it any chosen Plane or random? Seems quite powerful for tier 2 if the former.


    Tier 2b: Longstride (S, Unit Enchantment, +movement)


    Not sure what 'Longstride' means in relation to water/biomancy. Doesn't seem watery to me.

    Planar Shift might be on the strong side, but it's not gamebreaking, plus it might cost a lot.

    I know Longstride doesn't fit, I just can't find a suitable name.

    Ah ok. I agree make it a pricey one.

    I know Longstride doesn't fit, I just can't find a suitable name.
    What about 'Hydration' or 'Hydrate'. Something to indicate they are getting extra moves from being constantly revitalized.

    Come to think about it, how does Water affect overland movement? Are there extra gaseous emissions coming from the back-side of the units propelling them faster?

    A lovely image. I assumed they are supplied with water without the need to find a source or their bodies magically have water restored after exertion, eliminating thirst.

    could be more of a thematic thing, like quicksilver. a magical liquid that is fast. i don't remember where movement was placed for elements.

    That's a good idea. Quicksilver would make a fitting name.
