    Destruction/Water

    Comments, feedback, and suggestions welcome.

    Tier 1: Ice Bolt (T, Instant, direct ice damage), Frostbite (T, Unit Enchantment, halves movement points)
    Tier 2: Nodebreak (S, Instant, destroys siphon), Cold Pulse (S, Instant, direct damage)
    Tier 3: Dehydrate (T, Instant, small irresistible AoE damage)
    Tier 4: Arctic Chill (T, Instant, ice damage to all)
    Tier 5: Lower Resistance (T, Instant, lowers SR for a few turns)
    Tier 6: Ice Storm (T, Instant, cold+bludgeoning AoE)
    Tier 7: Shackles of Ice (S, Unit Enchantment, target stack cannot move until successful save)
    Tier 8: Maelstrom (S, Instant, large cold AoE damage)

    I don't like Nodebreak being Tier 2 - it seems too early. If it stays Tier 2 it should have a significant casting cost.

    We have Warp Node, which is significantly more powerful at tier 4, so I think T2 for a simple siphon destruction is fair.

    maybe it is costly for a tier 2 spell.

    There is a direct damage spell at almost every level in this combo. That's way too many.

    Perhaps, we could a a Flood spell that changes a desert, plains, or swamp to water tile?
    How about a Corrosion spell that weakens a target's attack?
    What about a Wash Enchantment spell that turns a target's magic weapon (from a Alchemist Guild) into a mundane weapon?
    Or how about an Erode spell that damages a section of a wall so units can pass through?

    I like the list myself. Makes a good counter point to fire, which also has direct damage spells out the wazoo.

    Personally I'd make Arctic Chill be also castable strategically though.

    The problem is you end up with the same list twice, just with different names. I love direct damage spells, but this is too many IMO.
