    Biomancy/Fire

    Tier 1: Fire Weakness (T, Unit Enchantment, fire vulnerability), Essence of Fire (S, City Enchantment, +power for volcanos)
    Tier 2: Chaos Channels (S, Unit Enchantment, adds a random positive mutation), Exhaust (S, Instant, destroys a mineral)
    Tier 3: Drought (S, Terraforming, swamp/forest->plain->desert)
    Tier 4: Raise Volcano (S, Terraforming, raises a volcano)
    Tier 5: Warp Reality (T, Combat Enchantment, penalties to all non-summons)
    Tier 6: Infuse Sun (S, Global Enchantment, slowly dries the plane)
    Tier 7: Chaos Mastery (S, Global Enchantment, all units recruited with Chaos Channels)
    Tier 8: Great Wasting (S, Global Enchantment, desert, volcanoes and corruption appear on a plane)

    Fire weakness should be both a tactical and strategic spell. Exhaust is way too low for what it does. It would be a trivial matter to eliminate all the powerful minerals on a map in a single turn. Raise Volcano seems like it's a level too low as well. Are we saving the "Mastery"s spell names exclusively for level 9 stuff? If so, the level 7 spell needs a rename.

    Fair point.

    Exhaust is way too low for what it does.
    It might, but what do you propose to switch it with? Warp Reality maybe?

    Raise Volcano seems like it's a level too low as well.
    I think it's perfect, one tier above the standard terraforming.

    Are we saving the "Mastery"s spell names exclusively for level 9 stuff? If so, the level 7 spell needs a rename.

    That might work.

    I haven't heard anything about Masteries, especially since we already have Necromastery confirmed Tier 7 in Death magic.

    I don't like Exhaust at all. Way back when, Aaron said that if Exhaust made it into the game, that there would be an anti-exhaust to be able to undo the destruction.

    Bottom line, Exhaust can't exist without a way to reverse it.

    +1 for jamoecw better so its disabled but can be restored with some kind of terraforming/purification spell.
