My first space sim was freelancer. I spent a few years on it especially the multiplayer part. But I have realized that space sim has recently become more like a civilization/society simulator, with more focus on building a whole cyber world than casual gameplay. And more-over, it seems space games often equals this formula: dogfight + trading + clan war

Of course there are a few titles with more innovated gameplay, like:

KSP (more emphasis on building the spaceship)
Space Engineer
No Man's Land
Adrift

My personal anticipating goes to Adrift for the survival experience (I actually tried to design a gameplay like this) and No Man's Land. When playing space game I mostly enjoy the exploration part, flying through dangerous space and discover new things. Today we still have only a small amount of titles in the space genre.
