    PBEM EVENT GETS HALTED

    It is a common issue that, during a PBEM game, if you set the EVENT COUNTRY PBEM to AI, the event manager will stop working when you dont expect it. The consequence is no more events.

    When u will realize that he has stopped working some turns ago (maybe 2 years!), you can only admit that both you and your opponent have wasted your time.

    The current home made solution is:

    find out the turn when it halted (I archive all the turns to do this)
    set the EVENT COUNTRY PBEM to Human (whatever player) with F11
    restart playing from that turn

    Maybe Doomtrader has a better suggestion to fix it.

    As a follow-up question, in a 3-player PBEM, is there any technical problem, as part of each player's gameturn routine, with setting the Event Manager to the Player ID of the NEXT player in the sequence, so that each player is advised and can make decisions for his own turn?

    So, Player 1 plays and sets the manager to Player 2, sends the turn.
    Player 2 receives and decides on his own events, plays his turn, sets the Event Manager to Player 3 and sends off the turn.
    Player 3 receives and decides on his own events, plays the turn, sets the Event manager to Player 1 and sends the turn.

    Is anybody aware of any problems in this sequence of events?
    The older I get, the better I was.
