    About the North African map

The Quattara depression in Africa (Egypt) is impassable in most games. I'm not complaining just saying.

    Hi,

we know about the Quattara depression, all units attacking trough there will have lowered effectiveness.

I just played Commonwealth in northern Africa and the Quattara Depression had no effect at all on the german troops. They ran right through it. Unchanged.

The good news is that I got a fortifikation in El-Alamein.

reduction of effectiveness occurs only if enemy units are in Quattara and attacking from there

Ok, but they were attacking through the Quattara depression. And just as you said, later they all had reduced values, but the next turn their values bounced right back up again and they incircled the El-Alamein fortifikation.
