I'm listening to that album about ten or more times a day

    Fits my current mood perfectly:

It's from my favourite band - Massemord. I have recently found that place and now I pretend that I liked it so much that I bought it and I dug out the disk from my closet where most of my original commercial disks lie and I started to listen to it again.
The site is kinda pathetic as they pause the music every 30 seconds, which makes me impossible to get into less brutal pieces and buy them (or rather dig them out of my closet where most of my original commercial disks lie banished).

I especially love the second track and its lyrics:

    Masshealing Masskilling

When you stare at me I see you hanging flesh
I see thousands of you torn asunder every time
Everything what you built I see as target to attack
Cause I'm in love with you my beloved human race
Your beautiful faces expressing how it hurts
    ******************************
Your beautiful faces expressing how it hurts
    ******************************

I want to see you dead
    Your smile feed my anger
I want to see you dead
    Your laughter prepares my avenge
    Bloodspilling Masskilling

When you stare at me I see you mutilated
By hatred that is fed with your sympathy
I want to see you dead
    Your smile feed my anger
I want to see you dead
    Your laughter prepares my avenge

When you stare at me I see you hanging flesh
I see thousands of you torn asunder every time
Everything what you built I see as target to attack
Cause I'm in love with you my beloved human race
    **** you all
"And as the light embraces the wanderer,
as knees bend as thought is obliterated,
with the very moment that resistance has ceased,
now, I am become death, the enemy of man."

I always think that music can speak volumes about the times people are living in during the era of it's release. I imagine this genre is very popular in the down trodden and bleak future of certain parts of the world during these times. It's a wall of fury and aggression.

Not for me as I suppose it's not musical enough for my tastes. I'm a person who likes music to take me on a journey (which is why I'm heavily into 60's and early 70's psych). This genre is more about releasing angst through sound and lyrics.

Anything that isn't cheesy pop I can appreciate though where it's coming from and why people enjoy it.

There is a music thread in the Youtube video cat if you fancy posting you fav tune links there.
